Personal TeX, Inc. Software License Agreement

This is a legal agreement between you, the end user, and Personal TeX, Inc. The enclosed software and documentation is licensed by Personal TeX, Inc. under the terms below. Please read this License Agreement; by using this software, you indicate that you agree to these terms.

License: Personal TeX, Inc. extends to the user of this software a nontransferable and nonexclusive license to use the computer programs and user manual(s) enclosed with this Agreement. You may use one copy of the program on a single computer at a time. You may not network the software or otherwise use it on more than one computer or computer terminal at a time. You may make one copy of the software solely for backup or archival purposes. You may transfer the software to a single hard disk provided you keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes. You may not copy the user manual(s) or other written materials accompanying the software. This license may be superseded only by a Departmental, Network or Site License.

Term: The license is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any other time by destroying the program together with all copies in any form. It will also terminate if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement. You agree upon such termination to destroy the program together with all copies in any form.

Copyright Notice: We have reserved all rights to our copyrighted computer programs and user manuals for those programs. We have not granted you any right to copy, disseminate, modify or transform these programs or the user manual(s) except as expressly provided for in this license.

Limitations of Warranty and Liability: The program is provided as is without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the program is with you. Should the program prove defective, you (and not Personal TeX, Inc. or an authorized reseller) assume the entire cost of all necessary repair or correction. Some states do not allow exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary form state to state.

Personal TeX, Inc. does not warrant that the functions contained in the program will meet your requirements or that the operation of the program will be uninterrupted or error free. However, Personal TeX, Inc. warrants the media (CD-ROM) on which the program is furnished to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of delivery.
